During the latter
half of the year the Crane fly or
'Daddy Longlegs' hatch out and can be blown onto
the Loch providing spectacular sport. Fished dry
& twitched back to the angler this fly often deceives
a lot of trout. When windy try a wet version on the
top dropper of a three fly cast, most fish will spot
the daddy and take your other flies.I've even heard
of anglers catching on the fly when it has sunk,
although I suppose this does immitate the naturals
own tendency to sink after a while.
