Crosshill Loch lies at the foot of Ben Ghullion. To anybody unfamiliar with the area this is the mountain to the right of Campbeltown as you enter the town coming from Glasgow. To reach the Loch you head for Southend and take the last left before you leave the town, its the turning after the creamery. Follow this road & you should reach Narrowfield Kennels, the map should guide you the rest of the way. Car access is not allowed beyond the forestry gate at the Kennels.

The Loch is run by Kintyre Angling Club and fishing is free in season 2004. All legal methods are allowed.

Until recently this was a brown trout only water, but with the introduction of Pike to the Loch by persons unknown, the fishing is now limited to the Pike, which is a shame if your'e a trout fisherman like myself. The areas marked in yellow on the map are weed beds which are where these fish tend to be found.

The Loch was stocked in the past three seasons with steelhead trout up to 10lbs and there may be the odd one still about but mainly your quarry will be be Pike.

Permit £5 2005 season.
